Good job and congrats Green team. And we all know full well, GC will not be down for too long.
Congratulations to the Clintwood players. You guys played hard and deserved the win.
Hold your head high Big BLue!! We are young and are finding our way. We just need to cross over into that next level and once we do....it is going to be scary.

cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war.....
Gutsy performance by both squads. After Parks went out it was like Colboro had the wind took out of his sails as far as play calling was concerned.
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

That was nice of you to say that. We all should take note of this.
I am very proud of our boys. Don't ever give up.

That Estep was a horse. Impressed me.
Yeah the big kid was a good back. Pretty slow though. Nothing compares to Parks' explosiveness and strength.

They were doing pretty good stopping Parks. I thought I saw him play defense the next series, maybe it wasn't him though. I saw Broady ask in another thread how he was, I don't think it was that serious. It looked like a hammy, or a knee sprain. They couldn't do anything with that big back. We can't stop a big back. We were lucky to win with all the penalties and mistakes. Good job to both teams though.
"There he goes, one of Gods own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die"
Went to this one (elp6n was doing the Coalfield coverage). Dandy game. Robbins really impressed me. Had a good time talking to Coeburn Cane and his better half (have to look long and hard to find better folks).
And to back up my posts about bad apples, several folks from GC really made [censored] out of themselves at this one-women screaming f-bombs, a fan having to be pulled away from the refs after unleashing a flurry of vulgarity that would make a sailor blush, not to mention the crap that elp6n had to deal with on the GC sidelines (moved to Clintwood side to take pics, and things were much better)
Jason: I see what you were saying: I have never seen fewer and weaker GC fans-was in disbelief. You had 5 in the crowd corner begging the fans to get off their [censored] and cheer on the boys. Had 4th-down plays where the crowd should have been up urging the defense, and it was so quiet I could have heard the blades of frozen grass crinkle if I had sprinkled on them. I have never seen a GC team not block either till tonight.

Central Warriors. Respect the past, embrace the future
Congratulations to Clintwood... I picked Gate City over Clintwood 28-14 in Burrhead's thread (I think he started it) so I definitely wasn't expecting the Wave to pull it off!
Officially retired
Robbins or Robinson? Robinson is number 8. Robbins is the kicker. They both played extremely well.
